The family of Lawrence is presented in "Descendants of Matthew Russell and Related Families of Jackson Co., AL: A Collection of Genealogies," 2009, by Walter Russell. The review not only gives the connection of this family to the Ridley family, but also provides their connection to allied families in the area. Several of these allied families are also given. This material is based on contributions by family historians who shared their detailed records and carefully preserved memorabilia with the author to assure their family memories would never fade. Some of these contributors are identified in the text while others are listed in endnotes. The combined efforts of all involved resulted in a 6 x 9, 548 page book, with over 8500 fully indexed names.
