I have a court marshall document a "relative" wrote and signed for the Minnesota Volunteer Infintry. The order was given by Col. James Gilfillan on 12-18-1864 in Gallatin, Tenn.

I couldn't find mention of any of the names (several) on the document, but family history has passed down this document and said it was someone related to Celestia Brown from Ontario, Canada. This part of the family kept every letter, postcard or picture that ever came to them. We don't have any of these documents since an aunt felt they were just trash. We are trying to find out who this man was and where in Minnesota he might have lived.

Celestia Brown was my ggggrandma. She married Robert McCormick in Candada but they had children in Ontario, and Rockbridge County, VA.

Thanks for anything you might be able to supply.
Ann Rawlins
