Hello.
SAllie Brown was the daughter of William H. Brown and Emily Anthony. She had a daughter, Lucy Elinor Brown, and on Lucy's 1956 death certificate it says her Father was J.V. Brown. Lucy Elinor Brown was born in Texas in 1888 but by 1894 Lucy and her Mother were back in Madison Co. TN, where her Mother, SAllie wrote a will and died 3 days later. In her will she asks that her parents, William and Emily Brown take care of Lucy Elinor. In the 1900 Madison TN census Lucy Elinor is living with her Mother's brothers and sister, her Grandparents were dead as well as her Mother.
What this boils down to is that Sallie Brown married a J.V. Brown in the 1880-1888 time frame.
Anyone have any clues?
