Hey Deborah,
Here are a few areas to help your search.

1. Check the Walter BROWN listings in the Social Security info. A fast way to do this is with the familysearch.org site.

2. Contact your local congress rep. Do it both where you live and the last known district of Walter.

3. Go contact a military post for that area. It might even be online.

4. Since Walter might show up in the 1930 census, you can get more info from his siblings listed.
