Sam Brown [aka Sam Braun] died intestate about 1912 in Jefferson County, Alabama. He owned one-half interest with Ben M. Jacobs in about 40 lots according to the Map and Survey of Birmingham, Alabama. Bertram Jacobs [relationship to Ben M. not given] was appointed administrator of Sam Brown’s estate, the property was ordered sold, and proceeds distributed among his heirs, namely:
1. Mrs. Herman Stern, a sister, residing in Nagyladna, Comedat Saros, Hungary.
2. Herman Mandel of Miclec, Hungary, a nephew over age 21, who was the only son of Mrs. Mandel [given name not stated], a deceased sister of Sam Brown.
3. Six heirs of Mrs. Herman Sampliner, a deceased sister of Sam Brown, being:
(a) Morris Sampliner, the complainant, over age 21 living in Cleveland, Ohio.
(b) Ignatz Sampliner, over age 21, living in Cleveland, Ohio.
(c) Jacob Sampliner, over age 21, living in Cleveland, Ohio.
(d) Mrs. Illina Bern (nee Sampliner), over age 21 living in Cleveland.
(e) Mrs. Armin Baruch (nee Malvin Sampliner) over age 21 living in Kaposvar, Hungary.
(f) Herman Sampliner, over age 21, living Budapest, Hungary.
