Hi again,
I have a deed of John J. Brower, father of Ariah C. Brower, selling property in Kirtland, OH, he signs his name as John J. Brower.
My grandfather is John Taylor Brower, and he was named after the prophet John Taylor. John Taylor was Ariah's supervisor (boss) at the "Times and Seasons" newspaper in Nauvoo.
It was a Dutch custom for the sons to have their father's name as their middle name, most of the time they just used the initial such as John did. John J. after his father Joseph. If you would like a copy of the deed please advise me.
