I am the great-great grandson of Leroy Brower and Clara McIntosh. Leroy was born August 31, 1844, at Lewiston, New York, and died of a Cerebral Hemorrhage, March 31, 1913, at Utica, New York. He was the son of Jeremiah Brower and Tigar Mabb. Tigar could have been a nickname for Keziah. Leroy served in Company A, 192nd Regimental New York Volunteers as private during the Civil War. He received a pension. By his first wife, he had the following children: 1. Cora E. Brower, born May 17, 1873, at Ballston Spa, New York.
2. Lillian Mae Brower, born August 31, 1875, at Ballston Spa, New York. Married Jacob Jay Triggs. (My great grandparents).
3. Clara Josephine Brower, born June 8, 1876, at Ballston Spa, New York. Married John Henry Rentsch.
4. Anna Birdie Brower, born January 1, 1878, at Mason City, Iowa. Married John Lchite.
5. Homer R. Brower born May 12, 1887, in Iowa, and died before the 1900 census.
6. Floyde Steven Brower changed to Steven Leroy Brower, born May 21, 1890, at Laurens, Iowa. Married 1st. Jessie. 2nd. Vera Vaster Goddard. 3rd. Winifred.
By his second wife, a cousin, Katherine Anna Bush, daughter of Andrew Bush and Elizabeth Brower. They had the following children, all born at Amsterdam, New York..
1. Ethel V. Brower, born January 12, 1905.
2. Alfred Leroy Borwer, changed to Thomas Leroy Borwer, born September 26, 1907.
3. Bermice Marie Brower, born September 25, 1910.
4. Lavina May Brower, born August 16, 1912.
