HUBERT BROWER 1726 Germany

The mother of my great-grandfather, Aaron Showalter, was Anna Brower, thus, I have a strong interest in Brower Genealogy. As such, I am happy to announce that "The Pass," dated 1726, for the immigrant, HUBERT BROWER, has "surfaced." "The Pass" was required of any person or family who wished to emigrate from Germany to America in the 18th century. "The Pass" was like a Passport or travel paper, and was a signed, sealed letter from the local Burgermeister (Mayor) testifying that the bearer and family were allowed to emigrate, were free of debt and were of good standing. This is a very rare document, there are few still in existence.

I purchased "The Pass," two translations of same, "The Oath of Allegiance" for Henry Brower (Hubert's son) and a document which endentures a female to said Henry Brower. All five of these 18th century documents are in extremely good condition. Parenthetically, I and my wife, Elizabeth, paid $1500.00 for the five documents and were happy to do so. Said documents will be donated soon to the Historical Society of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA.

I have produced a set of first generation photocopies of said five documents. From these first generation photocopies, I will make second generation photocopies for anyone wishing a set. To obtain a set, please send $10.00 in the form of a MONEY ORDER {NO CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED})and your mailing address to me. The $10.00 is for costs incurred in getting your five photocopies to you.

This project has been exciting, and my wife, Elizabeth, and I are happy to share same with you.
