Hi,
I understand that my grandmother, Susan Anaha Browder, was born about December of 1873 in Rutledge, Crenshaw, Alabama. However I also understand that she was adopted and possibly a Native American. I'm a member of ancestry.com but I can't find any records that would support her orgin or existence from either side, her adopted or biological parents. She married my grandfather, George Washington Strickland(b1871) around 1891 or so in Coffee County. She died in 1945 in Coffee County. If anyone has any information to support this search, my family and I would be most appreciative. Likewise, if I can help you in any way, please advise.
