I know quite a lot about Julia Browder as she was the sister of my Great Grandmother, Mary Browder.
Julia's father was Joseph Browder born Nov. 14, 1789, in Chatham Co. NC. Joseph was married twice. I have his lineage dating back many generations. His first wife was Nancy Eldredge.
After her death he married Ellen Carroll who was born about 1814 in New Jersey.You can find Ellen Browder in McMinn County, TN census for 1860 and 1870 (I think those are the correct ones). In one census I found her living next door to her daughter Mary who was married to my Great Grandfather, Isaac Denton in McMinn County.
I have searched many records looking for the Carroll family data as well as what happened to Ellen Browder following that last census in which she appeared. This seems to be a brick wall for me. Whether she married again, moved, or where she died doesn't seem to be listed anywhere.
