This information might help you in your search. I am descended from Alexis Dupuis and his wife, Elizabeth Scallienne. This family is from the Quebec line of Broussards, descending from Isaac-Urbain Brossard. The Guillory family was also from Quebec, not from Acadia. Your Alexis Dupuis might be a son or grandson of this couple. Note that in the 1870 census, the 8-year-old granddaughter, one Marie Broussard, was living with her grandmother, Marie Josephine Dupuis, who was the daughter of Alex/Alexis Dupuis/Dupuy and the widow of Valery Guillory. Marie was the daughter of Elizabeth Guillory and her first husband, Michel Broussard.

at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, Mansura, LA by Father Jean Emile Martin. Godparents: Zenon Juneau and Eugenie Marion. Died 1900 in Plaucheville, Avoyelles

Note: The 1870 Census taker wrote her name as Roseline Guillory, a 46-year-old widow.

Witnesses to the marriage: A. Joffrion, Aaron S. Phips, & Nicolas Scallan. Married by Etienne (Stephen) Aymond, Justice of the Peace.
The 1870 Census shows Josephine as a widow living between Louis A. & Lameda Joffrion and Joachim & Josephine Dupont. Still at home were Alphonse, Roseline and Roselia. Also living there was 8 year old Marie Broussard, Josephine' s granddaughter (daughter of Elizabeth Guillory and her first husband, Michel Broussard)
