Hey Mitch how are you?
I guess maybe i am using the wrong term. The past year i have been recieving information and tracing my family's history. My family is from New Iberia parish in Louisiana. We are African American. I dont know if i can say I'm cajun although my family were some of the original Acadians from Nova Scotia during the great expulsion period?? Over the year i have learned that i am a descendent of Abraham Dugas born 1616 as well as Boutte's, Joeseph Dit Brouselli Broussard???, Mitchell's, Knatts, Jaquets, as well as more i am sure. My great great great grandfather was Jean Baptiste Dugas born 1802 married to Adelaide Broussard. They had a son name Joseph Clesme Dugas who fathered my great grandfather Joeseph Dugas Knatt born 1866(mulatto) witha slave named Therese Marie Jean Louis. I was just wondering if there are any Broussards that are mixed or any Broussards for that matter that i am related to. Thanks
Rahsaan
