Hi Sherry, On July 29, 1998 at 18:54:00 you wrote: "I am looking for any information on Charles Brough, born 1841, died July 19, 1922 in Lucas County, Ohio. He married Mary Francis Lawrence, born 1844, died 1827. They had 10 children; Lyman, George, Emma, Lousia, Bessie, John, Thomas, Mattie, Anna and Albert." My maternal grand mother was named Bessie Brough. I know very little of her background other than her mother was called Charlotte Brough even though Charlotte wasn't her real name. -- I don't know either of her husband's names. She and her first husband, after having a number of children, split up some time after Bessie was born. She remarried a gambler who gambled away Charlotte's share of the money she and her first husband had made in connection with their orchards in the Carolinas. I saw Charlotte on her death bed from outside her hospital window. I was too young to go on the ward. We exchanged smiles, saw, recognized, and marvled at the family resemblence we had in our faces verified by my mother, Frances's (Walker/Brough) report of her reaction to seeing me. If we are or may be close kin, I have a little more information and a scanned photograph of their home from the front yard I'm more than willing to share with you in exchange for what ever you know and are willing to share about the Brough and/or Walker families. Please email me if you want to pursue this. Sorry for being so cagey. We barely know each other. Thanks, Dave Stapleton
