Page 153 Philip Brothers' Account to demand charges for ferrying. It would appear that Philip Brothers was a farmer and also had a ferrying business.It gave the following fares. Empty wagon .75, Loaded wagon in High water 1.00, Empty wagon in common stage of water .75, Two horse wagon .37 1/2, one horse wagon .25, Gigs and Sulkies .25, Single man .06 1/2, led or loose horse .06 1/4, cattle per head 3.00, stock hogs per head 2.00, Ox cart, same as 2 horse .37 1/2, Man and horse .12 1/2.
