I am familiar with the Brosseau family history which started in Canada in the 1660's. The original spelling of the name was Brosseau however with time there have been many different spellings such as Bruso (which is phonetically the correct pronounciation in French), Brousseau, Brossard, Bourasa etc.
I am a member of the Alberta branch of the family. There is a large extended family of Brosseau's in Alberta.
