My great-grandmother, Josephine Brosnahan Shear, was born in Thawville, Illinois March 6, 1873. Father: Cornelius Brosnahan from County Cork or Kerry area of Ireland worked for Ill Central RR for a time. Mother: Mary Ann Callahan supposed to have been a famine orphan, living in London. They arrived here with one daughter born in Ireland, and three more daughters born here: Josephine 1873; Mary, Elizabeth and Margaret are the other daughters. Unknown dates or locations of birth, marriages, death, for them. I have searched all the sites and subscriptions and come up completely empty-handed. Can anyone help me learn more about my Brosnahan family?
