I have a James Bullard Broomfield in my tree along with several siblings. Their parents certainly had a flair for choosing some rather unusual middle names for their children, please see the list of names that are in the Subject Line for this posting.

Their father was certainly another James Broomfield and mother was Elizabeth (nee Curling), but I cannot see where these other names come from. It would make sense that they are the maiden names of their ancestors, but I can't find the link(s).

I was hoping that I could trace James Broomfield (ie husband of Elizabeth) family line back another couple of generations, but I have to admit that I have run headlong into one of those brickwalls!

Please, if any of these names appear in your Broomfield ancestry, please get in touch. I would love to hear from you,

Many thanks,
