I am looking for the parents of Nancy Ann Broom b 8-14-1782, married Jonathan Melvin in Ca 1798 in ?Marietta?, Ohio. Jonathan was to help his brother-in- law, Levi Whipple, survey the Ohio Territory. They left Vermont and coming across NY Jonathan caught the small pox, so Livi continued on and did the survey. Jonathan could not find him to help but instead found Nancy Ann and married her. After 3-4 years they moved to Lawrence Co, Ohio. This is family history, but somehow i t has proven to be correct so far. (? Nancy's father was supposed to be a Prussian brought her to fight in the Revolution.?)
Any help on this line happily accepted!!
