My grandmother's name is Mindia M. Broom. She was born 1907, in White Co., TN. She married Claude Clemons in 1925. Her parents were William Morgan Broom (1870-1925), born in TN, and Florence Myers Broom (1872-1918). William Broom's parents were Joel Broom (b. 1828 Richardson Creek, Union Co., NC, d. 1906 Lost Creek, White Co., TN) and Martha Jane Gay Broom (b. 1830, in SC, married Union Co., NC, 1853, d. 1895 White Co., TN.) Joel Broom's parents were Andrew Broom and Susannah Pressler Broom. Andrew Broom's parents were William Broom and Elizabeth Helms Broom. William Broom's parents were John and Sallie Broom. Does anyone have info beyond John and Sallie Broom? Does anyone have any info on the Gay family in Union Co., NC.
