Please disregard the previous message. The delete is not working today. I was looking at the wrong info. The message should have read: John T. Broom, s/o Leroy & Seletha Stephens Broom died 8 August 1862 at Staunton, VA. Private, Company F, Cobb's Legion, Georgia Volunteer Infantry, Army of Northern Virginia, mortally wounded at the battle of Crampton's Gap, Virginia, buried in the Confederate Cemetery at Staunton, VA. From Carroll County probate records it appears his wife died before 1870.
