Francis Marion Broom is my gggf. I've heard the account of his move from Union Co NC and some of his Civil War travels. I've visited the old homestead near Coolidge, GA which was know as Broom's Pond, in fact I have some bricks from the foundation/fireplace. He is buried with his wife Jane Rachel Hayes and son Alonzo T. Broome and his wife Callie Rushin Broome in a cemetary near Coolidge. I'd love to hear any additional info and will share what I have. This line of the family moved on to West Florida.
