I am seeking information on my GGGrandfather, John Broom. He was born about 1838 in GA. In the 1850 census, he was listed twice (I believe) once with his mother, Prissa Broom (also born in GA about 1801) and once with a family by the name of HARE who lived next to (according to the 1850 census) his sister and brother in law, George and Elizabeth Adams. The Adams' were married in 1846 in Early County. In 1854, John married Mary Adams. John Broom and George Adams both served in the 13th Vol. Infantry, Co. G, CSA and both were killed in Staunton, VA in 1862. I would like to find out about John's parents, etc. He had siblings Harriette, Aaron, Seaborn and James in 1850. Will trade information I have. My Great Grandmother was John and Mary's daughter, Nancy Broom, born in 1859. In 1876 she married Burrell Mathews in Randolph Co., GA
