In response to your post:

"Jim Broome had 7 known siblings: Charles/"charley" Broome, Belle Broome-Outz-Richardson,Addie Broome-Glenn, Nanny Broome-Chap(p)elier, Mamie Broome-Meredith, Leeny Broome-Donald and Kenneth Lee Broome (for whom my father was named). These were the children of my Great-great grandfather Bud Broome. I am not sure who the mother of these children was. It is told by the family that Bud Broome migrated from the area around Gainesville, GA. He did have a sister who married a Wayne King."

I believe my ancestors may be the same as the ones you are describing above. My paternal grandfather was Lee Kenneth Broome (he had 12 children with Talsey Lee Welborn or Wilborn), he had 4 siblings that I know of names Charles Cornelius, Mamey, Aida, and Nanny. Their father (My Great Grandfather)was I believe Daniel Cornelius Bud Broome Jr. known as "Bud", and his parents were Daniel Cornelius Broome (d. 1863 buried in battlefield of Chancellorville, VA) and Mattie King from South Carolina. Perhaps names are a bit different because of nicknames used?

I, too am looking for more info regarding Bud Broome and who I think his father is Daniel Cornelius Broome, so please let me know if you find out anything further!

Thanks,
Heather
