James Emilius Broom(e)'s wife?

Jack Broome of Medford Oregon provided me with some information on an old graveyard he ran across many years ago. It is located in North Augusta, SC, in present day Aiken County. The area is near what was once old Hamburg, S.C., which was in the Old Edgefield District. The small cemetery is located on Bradleyville Road and is fairly overgrown.

In this cemetery there is a grave with a marker having the name Amelia Broome
wife of James E. Broome.

I located the cemetery yesterday and wrote down what I could read of the inscription.

Sacred

To the Memory of Amelia Ann
wife of
James E. Broome
Who departed this life on the 15th Oct. 1836?

Age 25 years 8 months and 7 days
She was for several years previous to her ????
a devoted Christian and valued member of the
Church of Christ ????? in God was great and
became increasingly vigorous as the hour of her ????
drew near ???? has done his work, the grave has
received a willing captive and Heaven has
welcomed a congenial spirit ???? intelligences
far from the ceaseless care and woe that mark
our Pilgrimage ???? secure from every further
ill. Her spirit rests on Zions Hill.
Beneath this clay her body lies, till Gabriel’s trump
shall bid it rise.
When up to heaven ???? mount to stay and shine
with God in endless day.

Could this be Amelia Ann Dozier, the first wife of James Emilius Broome, 3rd Governor of Florida. Married Jan 01 1834 ?

James E. Broome was born in Hamburg, S.C., on December 15, 1808. He was the son of the Rev. John Broome and Jennett Witherspoon. He moved to Tallahassee in 1837. He was married five times and amassed one of the largest plantations in the state. He moved to New York City in 1865, but died in Deland, FL, on November 23, 1883, while visiting a son. It’s my understanding that his Burial location is unknown.
