I have been doing my Brooks research for 25 yrs. My oldest provable ancestor is Bartholomew Brooks b. 1765 from VA. on the female side and Zachariah Brooks b. 1822-5 from Tenn on the male side (Brooks married Brooks).

Does anyone know if it would be worth it to do the DNA test and which one to do and how much it cost and who to contact?

I guess I would do the test from the Virginia area Brooks?

Would appreciate any info anyone can provide and what can be concluded from these test?
