I am so new to Cobb research that I can't answer your observation.I have a lot to learn and I am eager to discuss this with other researchers.
The only certainty that I have is that Ezekiel Sr. is the son of Rachel and Joseph Cobb III. Other male children are listed as their sons.Ezekiel Jr. is not the same Ezekiel as the one who married Falby Grubbs. And Falby Grubbs marriage to a Cobb with so many subsequent marriages throws us all in a tizzy! There is little doubt to me that my Falby Cobb b. 1769 was a sister of Ezekiel Sr. who moved to FL.And it is clear to me that the younger Falbys were named after my Falby.I don't know of an older generation with a Falby -- not to say that one won't appear.
I have a list of the Cobbs in Wilkes and early Georgia; researchers are concentrating on those Cobb families, where they may have come from, and how they are connected.
