I correspond with a descendant of Delaney Brooks Rasbury and we have come to the tentative, but unproven, conclusion that Delaney was a daughter of John Brooks and Elizabeth Toler, who were married 1814 in Putnam County, GA.She was probably an older sister to my great-grandfather, John L. Brooks, in fact would have been the oldest child in her family. The Rasburys and members of the Brooks family known to be my great-grandfather's siblings seem to have pretty much followed each other all across Georgia and into Texas.Delaney lived out her life in Denton County, Texas.Do you know the parents of your Rhoda Belle Brooks? What was her birthdate?Do you know the names of any of her brothers or sisters?
