I originally did a Y 25 marker test, exactly matched a lost cousin with a different surname whose father had been adopted. All he knew was that his grandfather had been an Adams but did not know that our grandfathers were brothers. When we later matched a Y 37 marker test by a person in New Zealand with a different surname ,my cousin and our New Zealand match did a Y 67 marker test which matched. Our recent sole Brooks match did a Y 37 marker test and doesn't match any other Brooks as far as we know. We are R1b1b2 .
