There is a James L. Brooks listed in the 1900 Gwinnett Co, GA census (dist 46, sheet 21B)born Jan 1850 in GA; wife is listed as Sarah C., born Mar 1855, GA. Children are: Thomas J. dob Oct 1874; Annie E., dob Feb 1876; Lenora G., dob Jan 1878; Maud L, dob Aug 1882; Nancy E., dob Aug 1884; Bedford L., dob Sept 1887; George F., dob Aug 1889; William H., dob Nov 1891; and Early L., dob Dec 1894 - all born in GA.
In the 1910 Gwinnett Co, GA census, James states his name as James A.
I believe he died prior to 1917 as George states he is the provider for his mother on his World War I registration card.
I am hoping someone can tell me who James A/L Brooks' parents are.
