Still looking for information on the Martha Brooks who married Caleb Baker Sr., son of Lancaster PA gun manufacturer Robert Baker. Their daughter
Mary Baker was born in PA in 1730, and in Virginia married Robert Ewing of Bedford Co.
Does anyone know anything about Martha's parents? I have seen information that she may be the daughter of John Brooks of Lancashire, England, but there is obviously confusion among some researchers between Lancashire, England, and Lancaster, Pennsylvania. There has also been confusion among the wives of various Caleb Bakers. Jane Thompson (dau. of John Thompson and Margaret Osborne) is the wife of a later Caleb Baker.
