Does anyone have information on Capt. John Sowers Brooks, USMC, b. 1814, Agusta Co VA, d. in 1836 at Goliad TX in Massacre. He fought in the Mexican War. His father was Absolon H. Brooks. I need his father Absolom Brooks parents names and his brother Norborne C. Brooks wife and children's names. I cannot connect this family to any male Brooks descendants.
