I am looking for information on my great grandfather and his parents. My great grandfather's name was William Brooks. He was born in Harrogate, Tennessee on December 1, 1894 to Charlie and Sarah Brooks.
He married a woman named Dorothy Moore and eventually settled in Wise County, Virginia, where he was a coalminer. He died there of Black Lung Disease in 1941 (April, I think).
Among his children are Betty, Patsy, Gerald, Ron, Howard, and Juliet. There were two others that died young (one was stillborn). He may have had an uncle named Wiley Brooks who lived in Kentucky.
If anyone out there knows anything about him or his parents or any siblings he may have had, please contact me.
