While in Canton, GA in March (doing research on the Bass/Lay family), my mother and I found a family-published book about the Brooks and Timmons family. It had wonderful letters written during the civil war by sons of the family to their family back home. My Mother was deeply moved. I would like to purchase a copy for her, if anyone knows how I might discover one.
