Mrs. Lucindia Brooks Dead
Mrs. Lucindia Brooks passed away at her home near Sherman Monday morning at 2:55, following an illness of several months. Her husband passed away about a year ago.
Mrs. Brooks was born March 3, 1952, and was 75 years, 2 months and 11 days of age at the time of her death.
Funeral services were held from the Baptist Church in Sherman Sunday afternoon at 2:30, conducted by Rev. Cloninger, of Oswego, and burial took place in the Sherman cemetery.
Mrs. Brooks was one of the old residents of the Sherman neighborhood, having been a pioneer settler in this part of Kansas. She was the mother of a large family of children, some of whom live in the home neighborhood, while others are scattered about in other communities.
