I am not sure how they relate but the naming patterns to my Brooks from central Virginia formerly from the coastal areas of Virginia and the time periods sure suggest that they came from the same early Brooks families that settled the Chesapeake Bay area in the 1600's to early 1700's.My ancestors were Bartley Brooks b.ca. 1763 VA, his brother David Brooks b. ca. 1755 VA , possible and most likley brother Elisha Brooks b. 1750-60 VA and Zachariah Brooks b.also in 1750-60 time frame. These Brooks are believed to be descendants of Brothers George and Thomas Brooks b. in the 1720's VA.
