Thank you so much for posting the southern brookins...I did not know anything about the Brookins line except that I am a descendant of Edwin and the Alabama line. One of Ira's sons Benjamin Franklin married to Rachael Farr was my great grandfather, their son James Franklin married to Johnnie Mae Smith were my grandparents and James and Johnnie Mae were my daddy's parents...daddy's legal name was Dorris Lee Brookins (he hated his first name and went by Davis, D.L., and Doc)but Doc was his nickname. My maiden name is Sandra Lee Brookins and I was given his middle name.

Anyway I have extensive history on this line from various sources and Dewey Glass was the biggest source as you mentioned he had a lot on our line. I only wish I had more info on Benjamin's wife Rachael Farr as I have heard we have Shoshoni indian from her and I would love to know for sure.
