My g.g.grandfather was William Brooke, b. D.C. about 1827. He married Matilda Partin in Red Bluff Ca. 1858. They had 3 sons, Robert, William and Thomas. He d. 1868. I have never been able to prove his parentage. Could be Robert and Caroline on 1850 D.C. census. William 22 and wheelwright. Fits as he is a wagonmaker in California. Right age but has made me crazy because I cannot find proof that this is my William. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Alice
