Ignatius, or Nacy, as he was called, married Mary Ann Gully in Kemper County, MS, ca. 1860, and had one daughter Jennie who married Alfred Zucker, an architect, who later moved to New York. Mary Ann married (2) Covert and had additional children.
Ignatius was the son of James R. Brooke and Jane Queen Semmes Turley & grandson of Dr. Ignatius Semmes and Mary Cooksey; also grandson of Joseph Roger Brooke and Sarah Perry. These lines originated in Charles County, Maryland, and moved to Wilkes/Taliferro County, GA, ca. 1794.
