I have exhausted all the usual channels to find documentation acceptable for certain lineage societies concerning my ancestor Eliza Brokaw, who married Jacob Pratt in Miami County OH 05 May 1836. She was born to Henry Brokaw/Martha Blue c1815, either in NJ or OH (census shows NJ). She was killed in a buggy accident 13 Jun 1874 either in Mercer county where they lived or Miami country where they were visiting brother James. The Brokaw-Bragaw Heritage page 144 has a paragraph about this incident and it also references a bible record and family record. Does ANYONE have knowledge of a Brokaw family bible that would include information about this Brokaw line, particularily Henry, Martha and their kids - Eliza in particular? Neither he first families of Ohio and the civil war families of Ohio will accept the Brokaw-Bragaw Heritage for proof. THANKS!!!!
