I've traced my family tree to the Brokaw's from Ovid, NY. My Greatfather's name was Zackeus Brokaw from that town. His father was Peter Brokaw and his mother was Sarah (last name unknown). Zacheus left Ovid in 1860, joined the Union Army in Adrian Mich. and finally settled down in Baltimore and Married my Great Grandmother, Mary Ann O'toole who was a nurse In the Union Army.
