Hi Nancy -- hope you're still receiving e-mail at this address...
I'm still looking at Brogden's where they overlap with the Jenkins line I'm researching.Hoping to query you on a couple of things from your post #117:
Snowing Frost -- I have an S.O. Snowing Frost, son of Edward 'Ned' Frost whose wife was Jane 'Jennie' Jenkins, born in 1815.I don't have dates on Snowing or Edward. The Morgan Co. Alabama 1830 census, has a Snowing on pg 39, age 20-30 (if I'm reading it correctly) with 2 two young daughters & a wife. There is also a William Frost on the same page, 20-30 years old, with wife & a young son and daughter. On page 55 is Edward Frost 50-60 years old, with wife, 20-30 year old son & teenage daughter.I think this is the Edward we're talking about...what is your opinion? On that same page, are my ancestors Greenberry & Lewis Jenkins (son & father). On page 54 is James Brogden, 50-60 years old, with wife & several children. On page 25 is Kenny Brogden 40-50 years old.And Jonathan Medford, who must have had a daughter Elizabeth who married my ancestor Greenberry Jenkins...but I don't have evidence of that except them being neighbors.
Mary Brogden -- I have that Elizabeth Jenkins had a child named Mary Brogden in Arkansas.Elizabeth died & Elizabeth's brother L.W. Jenkins went to Arkansas to get the child, brought her back to Alabama. That daughter married Lewis Sanders Oden.Sound right to you?Any connection to your Brogden's that you know of?
Well, after typing all that, hope this reaches you...or another researcher that has connections:)
Jeff
