I am looking for information or connections to the Brogan family - Corkey, Kincraigy, Donegal. It is near Manorcunnigham and Labbadish. A lot of the men (Stephen and Patrick) were blacksmiths. There was James,Stephen, Patrick and a sister RoseAnne(who married William Doherty from Maylin,Newton/Manor) RoseAnne's son Philip Doherty was also a blacksmith but was unmarried. Her Brothers Stephen Brogan and Patrick Brogan were unmarried. But James Brogan (who was approx 50 in 1901 and approx 70! in 1911) had a family. He had a son Johnnie/John, and daughters Annie and Bridget. I think they were also related to the Gillispies from around Killea so maybe there was another daughter to married Gillispie. There was probably more in this family. Would love to find out more about this family(and their descendants) as Rose Anne was my great great grandmother.Johnnie/John Brogan was approx 19 in 1901 and 21 in 1911 according to the census. Please email me at motodc@hotmail.com
