My husband's cousin has a recollection of family members mentioning a connection to the Brodsky family. He can't give me any details as he was juat a child. My husband's grandfather was Leiser Bakalejnik/Bakalijnik from Cherkassy. He later changed his name to Louis. He married Henrietta Selzer/Seltzer from Tarnopol. They arrived separately in New York in 1909 and 1910. Henrietta came with their son Pinkus whose name later became Perry. The family name changed to Bakaley and by the 1920 census they were in Philadelphia. Please reply if this sound familiar or if you can provide any help. Thanks.
