Hello there
I do believe this John Brodie is my maternal grandmothers brother. She was Annie Carruth Brodie born in Bridge of Weir 6 March 1892. Her parents were Alexander Brodie born 26 Aug 1858 and Janet Simpson McKendrick born 22 Dec 1856 (Janet was a twin - brother named Matthew McKendrick) Alexander and Janet married on 29 Sept 1882 in Bridge of Weir - Renfrewshire.
I have been trying to find out about John Brodie, I can recall my Nan getting letters from her brother in Australia when I was a child.
