I am looking for relatives of my G,G,Grandfather. He was born in the 1830's in Canada. It is said that his father was born in Canada also. G,G,Gpa's name was Thomas Brodie, his wifes name was Isabel. They had at least four children: Robert, Thomas, Ida and Isabel. Robert moved to San Francisco, California USA in the 1880's. Robert is my G, Grandfather. His wife (Mary Hogan) died in childbirth with their second child in 1896. Some time after, distressed, he left his children to be raised by his wife's parents. My family has not had direct contact with him since. The last contact from my family to his siblings was in the early 1940's. My Aunt had been to visit with them before that and has been able to provide me photos of my G,G, Grandma Isabel, My G, Granduncle Thomas and two of his sons (Burt & Harold), and my Greataunt Ida. There are others in the photographs that I have not yet identified. I beleive that these photos are from around 1912 and later. They are reported as of been taken in Winnipeg. It is said that my G, Uncle Thomas and/or his sons owned a car dealership in the Ontario area. G, Aunt Ida was Married to a H. W. MacGregor. My Father has given me a photograph of him. Mr. MacGregor is reported to have been a mining engineer with extensive experience in Alaska. He also spent time in the Canadian Military.
