I am searching for a family who may be related to my wife's grand-
parents. The surname is Brodie. The father was born in about 1896
and worked in the leather business as a tanner. The mother was about
three or four years younger and was not known to have a job outside
of the home. This family had three children, two daughters and one son.
The eldest daughter was born in about 1927 and was said to have worked
in a bakery in her younger years. The son was born in 1929 and worked
for a shoe company as a young man. He is known to have died at the age
of 52 around 1981. The youngest daughter was born in about 1933. This
family probably lived in Ontario Canada in or near some sort of city
because of the known occupations which are not rural jobs. My guess
is that they were from somewhere near (within 200 miles) to but not in
Toronto.
