I have Marcus Brockway's framed illustrated drum head with camp scenes, 7th OVI, etc dated 1861. My Mother or my Grandmother told me the stories of him drumming to announce Spanish war events. The drum head has been passed down to me and will next go to my youngest son Glen George Brockway Denton to be then passed on to my Grandson Max Brockway Denton. I also have 2 pictures of Marcus drumming the Spanish war events. Georgiana Louise Brockway is my mother and Helen Chapman Brockway was my grandmother.
