12 December 1945, Wednesday, The Burlington Hawkeye Gazette, page 2 Anna C. Diedrich Anna C. Diedrich, 86, who resided with her son, Charles D. Hamilton, 808 Dunham street, died in Mercy hospital at 4 p.m. Tuesday after an 8 months illness. She was born Aug. 3, 1859 in Denmark, Ia., and resided at Kingston for many years before moving to Burlington about 40 years ago. She was married twice, first to W.A. Hamilton at Moberly, Mo. Oct. 18, 1879, who was killed while working in New Mexico, in June 1882. On April 22, 1926, she was married to Fred C. Diedrich, who died April 9, 1945. Surviving are one son, Charles Hamilton, Burlington; 3 sisters, Mrs. Nellie Avery, Mt. Pleasant, and Mrs. Fannie Henson, and Mrs. Dora Pforts, both of Burlington; 3 brothers, John and Harry Brockway of Kingston, and William Brockway of Muscatine; 3 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.
