Mrs. Dan B. ASHENFELTER

SAD AND SUDDEN DEATH
Mrs. D.B. Ashenfelter Goes to the Great Beyond
The announcement on Monday that Mrs. Dan Ashenfelter was dead came as a great shock to this community. Her death had not even been anticipated by the family and friends and was so sudden as to be extremely sad. She had been planning to start for Kansas on a visit and had all arrangements perfected. For some weeks she had complained of pains in her head, and for the few days previous to her death had suffered considerable, but expected to be able to take her trip. Monday at noon her husband left her felling much better. At 3 o’clock she was dead. The cause was an abscess in her head and when it reached her brain the end came suddenly. When she was stricken down her physician and her husband were summoned, the usual remedies were applied, but it was apparent that nothing could done to save her. In a semi-unconscious state she made requests in her regard to her burial, asking that her little 2-year-old daughter be buried with her. She could not bear to go and leave her darling. With a smile on her face she passed peacefully away.
The deceased was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Brockway of this city. She was born in Berkshire county, Mass., and was 27 years of age. She came to Cherokee some eighteen year ago and about five years ago was united in marriage with Mr. Ashenfelter. Both were prominent in church circles, being members of the M.E. church. Life seemed bright to them. A happy home, blessed with love, contentment and goodly prospects were theirs. But all is changed and in the place of these things we find darkness and breaking hearts.
The funeral services will take place at the M.E. church at 2 o’clock today.

What is Mrs Dan B. Ashenfelter's first name?
Date of birth?

What is her line?

Thank you Pat
