John Cole Brockway
BROCKWAY, JOHN COLE. John Cole Brockway, 70, of Coral Gables, Florida, passed away November 11, 2007 at his home, Bear's Den Ranch, in Livingston, Montana, surrounded by his entire family. John was born May 30, 1937 to Jack Cole Brockway and Dorothy Eleanor (Pitzer) Brockway in Los Angeles, California. He married Patricia Ann Ussery on July 30, 1959 in Coral Gables, Florida. For more than 45 years, John owned and operated Bill Ussery Motors, one of the oldest and largest Mercedes-Benz dealerships in the United States. An avid sportsman, John enjoyed hunting and fishing. His passion, however, was promoting his own legacy through his children and grandchildren. His generosity knew no bounds and his capacity for love of family and friends was larger than the Montana sky. John is survived by his wife, Pat of Coral Gables, Florida, daughter, Brenda Sue Brockway of Sarasota, Florida, son, John Cole Brockway III of Livingston, Montana, son, Robert William Brockway of Coral Gables, Florida, daughter, Beth Ellen Serrate of Miami, Florida, sister, Connie Abbey of Indian Rocks Beach, Florida, sister, Carolyn Dickson of Bellbrook, Ohio and brother, Thomas Lee Brockway of Winter Haven, Florida. Gampy is also survived by ten grandchildren, seven nieces and five nephews. A private family gathering is planned.
